About BYGRID
A living map for a scattered startup ecosystem.
The Belarusian startup ecosystem did not disappear after 2020. It moved, split across jurisdictions and kept building.
BYGRID connects those public signals into one readable layer: who is building what, where teams operate now, which verticals are emerging, and what funding signals are visible.
Why it exists
Most ecosystem knowledge is still fragmented.
founders, teams and companies moved across countries after 2020,
public startup data became fragmented across databases, media and private knowledge,
ecosystem context is still hard to read from the outside,
funding, stage and activity signals need a cleaner public layer.
Who is included
Startups active enough to be tracked responsibly.
Belarusian founder connection
At least one founder or co-founder has a public Belarus connection by origin, biography, education, previous location, professional background or self-identification.
Scalable product
The company is building a product, platform or technology designed to grow beyond a one-off service model.
Visible activity
Recent product updates, app activity, hiring, funding news, media mentions, event participation or community signals show that the company is still alive.
Cross-border relevance
A startup may be registered, funded or operating outside Belarus. BYGRID tracks ecosystem relevance, not only jurisdiction.
Verifiable public data
Every record should be grounded in checkable public sources or community submissions that can be reviewed.
Methodology
Public sources first. Manual review where context matters.
BYGRID is built from open startup databases, company websites, media research, founder profiles, app store updates, official announcements and community contributions.
Funding data is added only when it can be publicly verified through sources such as Crunchbase, Dealroom, media reports, investor announcements, company updates or press releases.
No rumours. No inflated numbers. No private claims presented as facts.
Data layers
What BYGRID is not
No rankings
BYGRID is not an official leaderboard, investment recommendation or popularity contest.
No private claims
Funding data is included only when it can be verified through public sources.
No static lists
The map is designed to change as companies evolve and better data appears.
The goal is simple: make the ecosystem easier to see, search, understand and connect.
