BYGRID maps the Belarusian-founded startup ecosystem – wherever founders ended up.
After 2020, the ecosystem became distributed: founders relocated, teams rebuilt, companies entered new markets, raised funding, and continued building.
Today, startup data is scattered across media mentions, investor decks, personal networks, and private chats. There is no single place to understand the size of the ecosystem, emerging sectors, company trajectories, or founder journeys.
BYGRID turns these fragmented signals into a structured public layer.

BYGRID makes Belarusian-founded startups visible – not as isolated success stories, but as one connected ecosystem. It gives researchers, journalists, and the ecosystem itself a shared foundation to work from. It also preserves something startup communities usually lose: collective memory – the successes, failures, pivots, exits, and lessons that shape future founders.
The years between 2020 and 2026 represent a unique case of ecosystem development under relocation, decentralization, and the loss of local infrastructure. BYGRID exists to make that story visible, searchable, and easier to understand.

Belarusian founder connection
01At least one founder has a publicly visible Belarusian connection.
Scalable product
02The company is building a product, platform, or technology designed to grow beyond a one-off service model.
Cross-border activity
03A startup must show clear activity outside Belarus – through operations, markets, funding, team location, or public presence. BYGRID tracks Belarusian-founded startups building across borders.
Visible activity
04The startup should show visible activity within the last 6 months: product updates, app activity, hiring, funding news, media mentions, social activity, event participation, or other public signals.
Funding data
05Funding data is added only when it can be publicly verified through sources such as Crunchbase, media, investor announcements, company updates, etc.

BYGRID is not an official leaderboard, investment recommendation, or popularity contest.
No private claims
Funding data is included only when it can be verified through public sources.
