BYGRID’s operator is based in Lithuania.
For questions about personal data, a correction, an objection to publication, or a removal request, email jn@bygrid.io. You do not need to use Google Forms to make a privacy request.
Visiting the website
The application loads Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to collect aggregated, privacy-friendly metrics on site usage and performance without using tracking cookies. Fonts and editorial images are served from the website. Delivering pages necessarily involves technical request data, such as an IP address, browser information and requested URL, being received by the hosting infrastructure. Hosting log retention and provider details are not yet confirmed.

Contributions and correspondence
Startup submissions, story pitches and corrections use external Google Forms. Email and form responses may contain your name, contact details, professional information and the material you choose to send. They are used to review your contribution, check information and communicate with you.
Send only information needed for your request. Do not submit medical records, identification documents, private addresses or sensitive information about yourself or other people. A contribution is not a newsletter subscription.
Google receives technical information when you open its forms. Its own processing is described in Google’s privacy policy. BYGRID’s responsibilities for submitted responses are separate from Google’s policy.
Published directory and editorial information
Records and articles draw on company announcements, professional profiles, reporting, interviews and community contributions. They can include founders’ names, professional roles, locations, biographies, photographs and statements. Sources are identified in records and articles where available.
Published content is public and is also available through the site’s feeds and public content export. Search engines and other readers can copy it. If a record concerns you, send its URL and your request to the contact above.
Your data protection rights
Where GDPR applies, you can request access, correction, erasure or restriction of your personal data and object to processing. Portability applies in the circumstances set out in GDPR. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights have conditions and may need to be balanced with freedom of expression.
GDPR generally requires a response within one month; an extension of up to two further months is possible for complex or numerous requests, with notice and reasons within the first month. You can complain to a supervisory authority, including in the country where you live or work. See the European data protection authorities.
In Lithuania, the State Data Protection Inspectorate (VDAI) supervises general data protection matters. Processing for journalistic purposes falls within the remit of the Inspector of Journalist Ethics, as explained in VDAI’s overview.
