OneSoil Raises €1M to Develop Its AI Farming Assistant

Agritech startup OneSoil has raised €1 million from its existing investors to further develop its AI-powered farming platform. The round includes participation from entrepreneur Yuri Melnichek, co-founder of Melnichek Investments.

Founded in 2017, OneSoil builds digital tools that help farmers manage their fields using satellite data. Its platform supports tasks such as crop monitoring, productivity analysis, soil sampling, field experiments and the creation of variable-rate application maps for more efficient use of resources.

The new funding will accelerate the development of AI Agronomist, an assistant recently introduced in the OneSoil app. The tool analyses large volumes of satellite and field data, then provides farmers with daily updates and recommendations through a natural-language chat interface.

AI Agronomist can detect potential problems such as flooding or pest risks, answer questions about changes in specific fields and compare performance across growing seasons. The system combines large language models, vision-language models and OneSoil's proprietary technology trained on years of agricultural data.

The new investment will help OneSoil expand the assistant's capabilities and strengthen its AI-driven precision agriculture platform, giving farmers faster access to data and supporting more informed decisions in the field.
